Big Leaps in No Time

Big Leaps in No Time

I think that each coach comes in with a different vibe. I found Kerb to be very disarming for the team. Vulnerability came more easily for people and from there she’s able to have an impact more quickly.

I originally reached out to Kerb to get assistance with team building activities. As we began talking, I learned more about her and asked her to work with me on developing a plan to help our leaders think about how we tie our companies words and values to actions. From there we continued working on operational improvements across our leadership team.

Our highest impact project was designing a company retreat workshop for our team to discuss our operational challenges. The response from the team was positive and they appreciated a truly productive workshop. The format encouraged participation and ownership within the team in a short amount of time. We had people at all levels facilitating, we had leaders in a position to listen without feeling the urge to take over, and the team seemed really open without hesitation to provide really critical feedback to thoughtful prompts that were prepared. It was energizing and generated the most buzz.

What’s possible for our team, now, is a deeper understanding of each other and our values and motivations. Often when I’m seeing someone take a stand for something or have an objection, I’m able to understand much more quickly where that perspective comes from and connect with them about it.

Many seed-stage startup leaders could benefit from working with Kerb, especially new/first-time leaders. A new leader is dealing with imposter syndrome and the world on their shoulders. Kerb finds ways to give you confidence, offer perspective, and provide actionable feedback that can help you make big leaps in a short amount of time.
