Finding My Leadership Voice

Finding My Leadership Voice

For quite some time, I had been trying to mimic or imitate leaders I had admired and respected. Leadership came so naturally to them. A commanding presence with the right know-how and follow-through. What was the secret? Why was this a struggle for me to get to that level?

Kerb helped me in not only gaining a leadership voice but understanding that it was my leadership voice that was struggling to come out. I had it all along! She carefully crafted our meetings towards digging deep into the “how would you go about solving this” and coming up with meaningful avenues of exploration/follow through.

It’s so rare to meet a teacher that listens and caters the program to the student. Kerb did exactly that for me. Each meeting felt like a meaningful conversation with an old friend filled with new learnings, debate, and understanding. I’ve learned to empathize on a level that wasn’t a part of my vocabulary and gained the confidence to approach problems through a different lens.
